Can't say there are great Chinese restaurants in the area. That being said, Peking Station is a good take out or eat in Chinese restaurant. Small, clean place with great customer service. Food tastes fresh and tasty, it is my go to place for Chinese.

I might be generous with the stars but for East Providence my egg drop soup was pretty decent (not wow) it seems like everyone makes it differently. It had flavor but it was on the quiet side. Shrimp lo mien was very good! Best I have had in awhile really. The shrimp were cooked to perfection. Crispy chicken wings were tasty not the best ever but if your looking for that quick fix for your Chinese craving this place will do it for ya. Everything was fresh and hot when it arrived.

I've lived in Rhode Island my whole life and have had allot of Chinese food. I can say with confidence that Peking Station is one of the best around. The food tastes great, you don't get that dirty feeling afterwards like most Chinese places give you. The place itself is very clean and the family that owns and runs the place are very friendly. While all the food is good I highly recommend the fried dumplings. They are the best dumplings I've ever had I could eat them everyday.

I just wasn't impressed. The wonton soup broth wasn't that great, the shrimp lo mein had a good number of shrimp but it was very oily, and I skipped the fried rice as my first bite of it was met with "meh." They're nice people but I threw out the leftovers which is very unlike me w/Chinese food. Oh well.

Best crab rangoons in east providence! Always get the Peking special with white rice. Seafood and veggies are fresh and delicious! Lo mein is out of this world great, chocked full of veggies and meat, not just noodles like other places. Staff is family run with authentic recipes, not just your average American Chinese. This place stands out amongst the rest!

Typical American Chinese restaurant with the same repetitive menu as other restaurants. However, this place does have decent tasting crab rangoon. The spare ribs, chicken wings, teriyaki chicken, pork fried rice, and egg rolls are nothing special. Although, the food here is, at least to me, better than Golden House. The delivery service is good and the drivers are, more often that not, happy to deliver your food. If your in the mood for American Chinese food and Peking Station is nearby than I guess it's worth a try.

So i just moved to East Providence. Did a search for some local chinese and Peking Station stuck out to me, must be the unique name. i got the beef lo-mein and chicken rice soup. The soup was typical. Kind of plain, but thats generally how its made. The lo-mein was off the chain though! everything was soooo fresh and full of flavor. Lots of meat and veggies, not just noodles. Super nice staff as well. Will be returning. They also deliver.

Meh another disappointment for Asian food in EP blah and boring food and wonton soup that tasted like weak tea

Since I received a menu in the mail I thought I'd try out their take out. This place has good prices, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. That said I would not get their moo shoo- it was mostly some unidentifiable crispy vegetable (and also cabbage) and short on the pork. Seems like a pretty standard take-out Chinese place that I would try again since its cheap.

Tuesday is officially our designated take-out night. Every Hump Day, after work, I like to curl up on the couch, munch on Chinese eats and watch a corny 80s flick with Charlie. This week's highlight was Masters of the Universe, the ultimate rip-off of every action/super hero movie to ever come hit the screen before its release. Hilarious in all the ways it shouldn't be. Totally psyched, we decided to try something a little different when I recalled passing by a brand new Chinese delivery near our job. Peking Station is not unlike the dozens of other take out places in Rhode Island. Great menu options, friendly service and a clean restaurant, what truly sets it apart, is the beef lo mien. ..... It's that good. Identical to Uncle Chen's beloved mien (State College, PA), the beef is large, in charge and full of sweet and savory flavour. Jam packed with mushroom, cabbage and other delicious veggies, it's worth ordering on its own. Their grilled chicken, on the house when making a purchase over $18, is also absolutely scrumptious and tastes more home made than take out. The brown gravy and boneless chicken also checked out perfect: moist, crisp and not a dry taste to be found. In addition, they also offer priced down appetizers when added to a dinner combo as well as multi-dish combinations for around eight bucks. Parking can be a little tricky since it's street but it's seriously worth a stop in, even if just for the lo mien.

My go to Chinese restaurant. Best one I've had in RI. Always get their generals chicken xtra xtra spicy with chicken wings...and it always takes 15min! They always seem to throw free food in with our order too, always a bonus.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
